Stingray Wallets

Exotic wallets need to survive a back pocket, and stingray wallets manage it with mineral armor. The skin is covered in calcified beads called denticles. A ray grows the identical armor in open water. That is what makes shagreen difficult to scratch and harder to scuff. Japanese sword makers wrapped it around samurai grips for centuries.

There are 32 wallets here, 15 of them bifolds. Each hide carries a crown eye, the pale cluster of beads near the center of the back. No two rays position it identically. Finishes separate into two families. Polished sands the beads flat into a glassy surface. Row preserves the original texture. Colors run from black and navy to burgundy, green, pearl white, and leopard or tiger patterns. Best for anyone who is rough on wallets.

Genuine snakeskin wallets occupy the same exotic shelf. Several pieces combine both skins in a single wallet. For a softer hand, ostrich leather wallets are the lighter choice.
