Ostrich Wallets

Cut from the crown of the hide, these ostrich wallets carry a full quill pattern. The crown is the circular patch on the bird's back. Follicles cluster closest together in that section. Everything outside it is smoother and considerably plainer. That is what separates full quill from ordinary ostrich leather.

There are 16 wallets here and 11 are bifolds. Five are marked full quill, so the bumps cover the entire panel. Ostrich leather is naturally oil-rich. It remains supple and resists the cracking that dries out untreated cowhide. One piece uses leg skin instead, flat and scaled with no quills. Two carry snap coin pockets. Colors include midnight black, cognac, butter tan, gray, green, and two-tone combinations. Best for someone who wants exotic texture in a wallet that still folds soft.

Crocodile leather wallets are the firmer option if you want defined scales. Stingray leather wallets go further, with a bead surface that shrugs off scratches.
